The School.- Britannia will be made up of two major sections: Primary (Infant and Junior School) and Secondary.
The School's Educational Programme.- will be based on the English National Curriculum, and will offer an excellent education to children from the age of 4 years to 18 years. In its initial stage, there will be an Infant School (Reception to Year 2), followed by a Junior School (Years 3 to 6). After five years, the School will open its Secondary School (Years 7 to 13). The programme will lead to examinations for the General Certificate of Secondary Education (G.C.S.E.) followed by The Edexcel General Certificate of Education at Advanced Subsidiary Level and at Advanced Level (G.C.E. AS-Level and A-Level). These examinations are officially recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education through the process of validation.
Specialized Attention.- the number of pupils per class will be limited to an average of 25; however, the groups studying for GSCE, AS and A Level examinations and for the Spanish Bachillerato will be considerably smaller in view of the degree of subject choices at these stages. Britannia will aim to keep the student/teacher ratio between 15 and 20 to 1. All of Britannia's teachers will be fully qualified and experienced in their respective areas. The British teaching staff will deliver the English Curriculum while the Spanish Bachillerato and complimentary studies will be given by Spanish teachers.
The Spanish "Bachillerato".- during their final two years, those students who wish may opt for the Spanish Bachillerato leading to access to Spanish university.
